On April 28, 2026, CITAH+ took part in the kick-off event of the project InnoBB – Innovation Promotion in Vocational Education, which took place at the Chamber of Crafts Osnabrück-Emsland-Grafschaft Bentheim. The aim of the project was to further develop inter-company training in the construction and finishing trades in a future-oriented way.
The focus of InnoBB was on the development of modern training concepts and on the question of how key future topics such as digitalization, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and interdisciplinary collaboration can be meaningfully integrated into vocational education.
The project was jointly implemented by the Vocational Education and Technology Center of the Chamber of Crafts Osnabrück-Emsland-Grafschaft Bentheim, the Competence Center for Finishing and Facade Construction in Rutesheim, and the Federal Training Center for Carpentry and Finishing Trades in Kassel. The goal was to create practical and innovative educational programs for trainees in the construction and finishing sectors.
In this context, CITAH+ contributed a keynote presentation that provided fundamental insights into the field of Artificial Intelligence and highlighted its potential for vocational education. Particular attention was given to how AI can be meaningfully integrated into teaching and learning processes in order to prepare both trainees and educators for future requirements.
In addition, the kick-off event offered space for intensive exchange between stakeholders from education and professional practice. Discussions focused, among other things, on future skills and the development of new, future-oriented training concepts.
The event marked a successful start for the InnoBB project and once again underlined the importance of high-quality and future-oriented vocational education. CITAH+ wishes the project continued success and looks forward to the upcoming developments and results.
